Compare bids against the criteria

Ask AI to lay out what each bid says against each published evaluation criterion, so the committee can find the right passages. It does not score or recommend.

Before you paste anything: replace names, CNIC numbers and other personal details with placeholders and never use classified material. Use only AI tools your department allows.

When to use it

Your evaluation committee has received several bids and wants a first-pass index of what each one says against the published criteria. Use it only with a tool your department has approved for confidential bids and prices. Never use a public chatbot for real bids.

The prompt

You are helping an evaluation committee in a government department in Pakistan. Do not score the bids. Do not rank them. Do not recommend a winner. Use only the text provided below.

Evaluation criteria, exactly as published in the tender document:
[Paste the criteria]

Bids (labelled A, B and so on):
Bid A: [Paste the relevant text]
Bid B: [Paste the relevant text]

Build a table with one row for each criterion and one column for each bid. In each cell, quote the exact words the bid uses for that criterion. If the bid does not address the criterion, write "not stated". If the answer is unclear or contradicts another part of the bid, write "unclear" or "contradicts" and say where.

After the table, list the clarification questions the committee may need to ask each bidder. Do not guess or add information that is not in the text.

How to fill it in

  • Paste the criteria exactly as they appear in the tender document. Do not add or reword any.
  • Use letters for bids and remove bidder names where your rules allow.
  • Use the same prompt and the same steps for every bid.

Before you use the result

  • Read the original bids. The table is an index and not a substitute.
  • Check every quote against the bid. Tools can misquote or invent text.
  • Scoring, ranking and the award stay with the committee.
  • Save the prompt and the output with the file as part of the record.
