Prepare structured interview questions for a post

Get fair, job-related interview questions from a job description, each with a note on what a good answer shows.

Before you paste anything: replace names, CNIC numbers and other personal details with placeholders and never use classified material. Use only AI tools your department allows.

When to use it

You sit on an interview panel and want every candidate asked the same fair questions. The AI can turn the job description into structured questions and suggest what a strong answer would show.

The prompt

Prepare structured interview questions for a post in a government office in Pakistan, based only on the job description below.

Post: [title and grade]
Job description:
[Paste the duties, qualifications and skills required]
Interview length: [for example 30 minutes]
Number of questions: [for example 8]

For each question give:
1. The question, in plain words
2. The duty or skill from the job description it tests
3. What a good answer shows (two or three points)

Mix questions about past experience with questions about how the candidate would handle a realistic situation in this post. Every question must be fair and related to the job. Do not include any question about family, marriage, children, religion, sect, caste, ethnicity, political views, health, age or other personal matters. Do not invent duties or requirements that are not in the job description. If the job description is unclear about a duty, mark it [UNCLEAR] instead of guessing. Write in [English / Urdu].

How to fill it in

  • Paste the official job description, not a summary from memory. Questions should match what the post actually requires.
  • Set the number of questions to fit the interview length, roughly three to four minutes per question.
  • If the panel has agreed areas to cover, list them after the job description.

Before you use the result

  • Check each question with the panel. Remove anything that could seem unfair or personal, even if the AI did not intend it.
  • Agree the scoring before the interviews, using the "good answer" notes as a starting point.
  • Follow your department's recruitment rules. They take priority over anything the AI suggests.
