Write a clear, polite complaint

Turn what went wrong into a short complaint to a company, bank, utility or government office that says what you want.

Before you paste anything: remove your CNIC number, bank details, passwords, codes and other people’s private information. AI can be wrong, so check anything important.

When to use it

Something went wrong with a company, a bank, an electricity, gas or water supplier or a government office. You want to complain in a way that is clear, polite and hard to ignore.

The prompt

Help me write a complaint.

Who it is to: [name of the company, bank, utility or office]
What happened: [describe the problem in your own words]
Important dates: [when it happened, when you contacted them before]
What I have already tried: [calls, visits and earlier complaints. Write "nothing yet" if you have not tried anything]
What I want them to do: [for example, fix the bill, return my money, reply in writing]

Write a complaint in [English / simple Urdu] that:
1. states the problem in the first two sentences
2. lists the facts and dates in order
3. says clearly what I want and asks for a reply
4. is polite and firm, with no insults or threats
5. is under [200] words

Leave these as placeholders for me to fill in: [ACCOUNT OR CONSUMER NUMBER], [REFERENCE OR COMPLAINT NUMBER], [MY NAME] and [MY CONTACT DETAILS].

Use only the facts I have given. Do not invent dates, amounts, laws or rules. If a date or detail is missing, write [CHECK].

How to fill it in

  • Write the dates as exactly as you can. Check old bills, receipts, messages or call logs.
  • Say what you want. A complaint that asks for something specific is easier to act on.
  • Fill in the placeholders yourself after the AI has written the letter, so your account numbers never go into the chatbot.

Before you use the result

  • Check every fact and date. A wrong detail gives them a reason to reject the complaint.
  • Send it through the organisation's official complaint channel, such as the complaint form, email or helpline listed on its official website or your bill. Keep a copy and note any complaint number you are given.
  • If you do not get a reply, the organisation's website should explain how to take the complaint further.
