Check a draft before it goes out
Ask AI to act as a careful reviewer: find errors, inconsistencies, unclear sentences and unsupported claims in your draft.
Last reviewed: . Reviewer: Muhammad Asadullah.
Before you paste anything: replace names, CNIC numbers and other personal details with placeholders and never use classified material. Use only AI tools your department allows.
When to use it
You have written a letter, note or report and want a second pair of eyes before it goes to your senior officer or outside the office.
The prompt
Act as a strict reviewer of the draft below, written by a government officer in Pakistan. Do not rewrite it. List problems only.
[Paste your draft]
Check for:
1. Spelling and grammar errors
2. Inconsistent names, dates, numbers or terms within the draft
3. Sentences that could be read in more than one way
4. Claims that need a source or evidence that the draft does not give
5. Tone that is too informal, too harsh or unclear for the reader: [who will read it]
For each problem give the exact sentence, the issue and a suggested fix. If you find nothing in a category, say so. Do not praise the draft.
How to fill it in
- Say who will read it. A letter to a citizen and a note to a Secretary need different checks.
- Ask for criticism, not approval. Models tend to agree with their user unless told otherwise.
Before you use the result
- Decide on each suggestion yourself. Some will be wrong or will change your meaning.
- A clean review is not proof that the draft is correct. The AI cannot check facts it does not have. See automation bias.
