The prompt

Message:
[Paste the message. Remove names, phone numbers and other personal details]
Do the following:
1. Write the message in correct Urdu script, keeping the meaning and tone of the original
2. [Also give an English translation / Urdu only]
3. List every word that could be read more than one way in Roman Urdu. For each, show the possible readings and say which one you chose and why
Do not add, remove or improve anything the writer said. Do not guess names of places, offices or people. If a word cannot be read with confidence, keep it in the Urdu text as [UNCLEAR: original spelling] and include it in the list.
How to fill it in
- Paste the message exactly as it was written, including spelling mistakes. Correcting it first can change the meaning.
- Choose whether you need an English version as well or only Urdu script.
- If the message uses local or regional words, say so in one line before the message.
Before you use the result
- Read the list of words with more than one reading. Ask the sender if any of them change the meaning.
- Check every name, date and amount against the original message.
- If the message is a complaint or a request, keep the original alongside the converted version in your file.
